Xbox Live Marketplace - Dante's Inferno and Lego Indy 2 demos, World at War maps, Weezer, Limp Bizkit, Paula Abdul and (yikes!) Zombie Outhouse

Microsoft finally woke up and realized that a large part of Xbox Live Marketplace is music game downloads. So they've introduced a few free dashboard dowmloads to help you preview and buy songs without launching the games. You can get the Guitar Hero VIP Pass, Lips Music Store and Rock Band Music Store to help you in your quest for playable tracks. These are inexplicably stashed in the Games on Demand section, if you have trouble finding them.

Here's what else came out this week:

  • Arcade: 0-Day Attack on Earth ($15) and Polar Panic ($10), plus the Trials HD Big Pack ($5) with 35 tracks, 50 physics objects for level design and three achievements
  • Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack Bundle ($25)
  • Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Overwatch Pack ($5) adds Blindside and Supremacy multiplayer modes and Friendly Skies and Hostile Takeover Fire Team Engagements
  • Way of the Samurai 3 Head and Apparel Items Pack ($1)
  • Dragon Ball: Raging Blast Ginyu Force Pack (free)
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 December Updates (free)
  • Guitar Hero 5 Celebrity New Year's Track Pack ($5.50 or $2 each) with "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5, "New" by No Doubt and "Our Song" by Taylor Swift plus track (free) "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" by Steve Ouimette
  • Rock Band/Rock Band 2 Pack ($) Weezer Pack 03 ($5.50 or $2 each) with "Beverly Hills," "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To ) I Want You To" and "Let it All Hang Out" plus tracks ($2 each) "Build a Bridge" by Limp Bizkit, "A Lot Like Me" by The Offspring and "Ocean Avenue" by Yellowcard - Note: "Family friendly" tracks also work with Lego Rock Band.
