Busy Gamer Nation #200 - PAX Prime 2013: Windborne

http://www.busygamernation.com/podcast/

We didn't know quite what to expect from Windborne, but the game caught our eye and we're glad we took the time to meet with Michael Austin of Hidden Path Entertainment to learn more about this Minecraft-esque sandbox game.

If you want to get some hands-on time with the game before the Steam Early Access release, we have at least one Steam code that will unlock the alpha version when it's released this month. Just post a comment about this game, which PAX interview you'd like to hear next, or whatever's on your busy gamer mind and we'll randomly pick the winner(s) as soon as we hear that the game is downloadable. (We've asked for more alpha codes but we'll have to wait to see if we can get any more. The more comments, the better chance we have to get some, we'd wager!)

You can download Busy Gamer Nation on iTunes, Zune, or our own RSS feed.

We have more PAX Prime 2013 podcast interviews and coverage incoming soon, including:

  • Borderlands 2 Headhunter Pack
  • Drone controller
  • Contrast
  • The Wolf Among Us
  • Fantasia: Music Evolved
  • 2K Drive
  • Zombie! Zombie! Zombie!
  • Infamous: Second Son
  • XCOM: Enemy Within
  • Dragon Fin Soup
  • Sword 'N' Board
  • Contraption Maker
  • Backyard Battles
  • Romans From Mars
  • Dying Light

Let us know which games you're most interested in, and we'll move those up to the top of the list! And we have many more cool stories to share post-PAX as well.

I've been chomping at the bit for more info on this game for ages now. Really too bad that it hasn't gotten more attention than it has. Just can't wait to get my hands on it!

2.

The preview on Steam starts Monday! /o/
So excited!

3.

My mind is filled with wonder on what will TelltaleGames is up to with The Wolf Among Us and what will it bring us with TWD Season 2. The stakes are pretty high after their success with the first season.

5.

I was going to suggest The Wolf Among Us, too. But then I, uh, actually looked at your site and saw you had a very interesting interview about that up already!

So, might I instead suggest XCOM: Enemy Within? It would be right in time for release, too.

7.

Guess I missed reading this whole post. But glad you discussed XCOM. I had not read about the Enemy Within expansion. I enjoyed playing Enemy Unknown but the original XCOM: UFO Defense is still my favorite. If you are looking to play again, check out http://openxcom.org/. You need to own a version already, but I couldn't get my Steam version to run on Windows 7, but with this I could.

8.

I'm so excited to play this game once I can. Hopefully it comes out soon (not meaning preview)! I want to play it now! T~T

9.

I'd love to play this. Sounds like a good game.

11.

This game looks really amazing. Good luck to anybody who wins!
