]]>And it has charm in buckets! You play as a curious kitty who leaves home on a mysterious journey. It's a classic point-and-click-style adventure made for the whole family. While designed to appeal to younger players, it's no less fun for adults. And it's expected out sometime this fall on Mac and PC via Steam and possibly consoles.

]]>Since then apparently there has been DRAMA. It appears somebody may have their claws out. The game was on Steam Early Access but in June it was pulled from sale and Rose City posted this terse message from its publisher, VIZ Media:
"The Early Access period for Cat Lady has now ended. For those of you who purchased the game, you will still be able to continue playing it from your library. For those who haven't, please stay tuned because we'll be back when the game is ready for full launch!"
Sounds upbeat but honestly, it seems like SOMETHING HAPPENED. We certainly wish the best for everyone involved, and if you want to put in your vote to get this game, I would take their advice and contact VIZ Media here: gamepublishing@viz.com.

]]>The third game in the series is set on a food truck where you prep orders while traveling cross-country to various selling locations. As such, there's an added layer of strategy. Busy gamers will be pleased to hear that Zen Mode is returning, and it's better integrated into the game. You can play at your own pace without the need to excessively grind to advance.

]]>We spoke in-depth with creative director Greg Kasavin and composer/audio director Darren Korb. It's a bit longer than our usual show floor interviews - clocking in at 8 1/2 minutes - and contains samples of Korb's score throughout.
The game is expected to launch very soon on PC and Switch. It's playable now via Early Access via Epic and Steam stores. Additional platforms are expected "down the line."

For everyone else, you get 25 levels and then chip in a $3 donation to unlock many more - plus a level creator so you can make and share your own.

]]>If you've been following us at all, you know we love Supergiant Games - from Bastion to Transistor and Pyre plus their latest promising entry, Hades. We'll have a podcast interview on Hades coming soon.
For now, you'll want to listen to the excellent 10 Years of Supergiant Games Panel, which chronicles their humble beginning, how they developed their first slow-burn hit that gradually captivated an ever-growing fan base, and their efforts to reinvent themselves with every title.
Then kick back for an excellent musical performance by the Supergiant Games Orchestra conducted by Austin Wintory and featuring composer/vocalist Darren Korb and singer Ashley Barrett.
Both of these gems are available from iTunes, or via RSS feed. You'll find many great podcast segments on Supergiant stuff, including our first 2011 interview with Darren Korb about his musical inspirations for Bastion, pre-launch show floor interviews for Transistor and Pyre, and a very fun Bastion review with many great sound clips.
]]>This late night panel was a short walk from dinner, and happened after most of the throngs had turned in or went off in search of an industry party. It's more or less a sequel to last year's panel (also in our podcast feed): Sexy or Stupid? The Great Video Game Sex Scene Debate.
You might think this panel is primarily for women and LGBTQ folks, but you'd be wrong. It's for anyone who works in a creative field (such as videogames) who wants another perspective on what people find attractive, and how the industry has been slow to recognize this and be inclusive of varied tastes (though a few companies seem to "get it"). It's an interesting panel no matter who you are and what you find sexy. You won't be able to see the slides or videos but that's not what this is about. It's real people talking about what turns them on, and that can be fascinating if you are open to it.
Needless to say, this one isn't PG so it's been marked EXPLICIT in the podcast feed, available from iTunes, or via RSS feed.
]]>There were many announcements including Homeworld 3, the just released Risk of Rain 2, end game features of Borderlands 3 that will keep your comin back for more, a Penn & Teller VR game, and more.
There's even a way, if you act within the week, to enter for a chance to purchase the limited edition Borderlands Loot Crate that sold out months ago (game not included but there's lots of cool stuff inside). There was an interesting "giveaway" during the panel that you won't want to miss!

]]>Each "hole" is more nuts than the last, and eventually gets out of hand as it becomes (at least briefly) something of a shooter game.
Despite the developer's optimistic release schedule in the interview, the game is now expect to release in 2020 for PC on Steam.

Due to release for Nintendo Switch and PC on Steam, probably sometime after it gets a real name..
