Detective novelist Robert Crais dropped his True Crime copyright suit against Activision. The company gave Crais unprecedented access to the game and its development materials. While lead designer Peter Morawiec admitted being inspired by Crais' Elvis Cole and Joe Pike novels, the author found nothing actionable and dropped the case without a payoff.
