In an effort to breathe new life into a year-old title and test its for-pay downloads model, Microsoft introduced a bundle of new MechAssault multiplayer game modes and maps. For $4.99 you get Take It, an expansion of capture-the-flag play that requires teamwork to open a gate, and Check It, a domination game. The maps include a maze set in a blizzard, a city set in a crater and a volcano whose fiery magma can either help or hinder you. Not a steep price if you like the online game...
