First Look - PSP Slim

The PlayStation Portable Slim, announced at E3 last week, actually has several new features. In addition to the new video port for outputting UMD movies and videos to a TV, the system includes:

• Twice as much memory, enabling a cache that should make games load faster
• USB charging, so your system will power up (instead of draining away) while connected to a PC
• A better battery, though you probably won't see much improvement in typical day-to-day use

Now for the bad news: It doesn't come with the AV cable (no price announced), and your original PSP remotes won't work. Oh, and if you play games on your TV, there will a black border on all sides...
