Well, that was fast. According to industry trackers, 9 million Nintendo Wii sales have surpassed those of the Xbox 360 which - despite a solid one-year lead and strong retail availability over the past holidays - is now in second place with 8.9 million. The PlayStation 3 has even more ground to make up, with only 3.7 million worldwide sales to date. Unlike many stats bandied about, these are apparently sellthrough numbers - not the quantity shipped to retailers...
