Xbox Live Marketplace - Geometry Wars 2 and Ninja Gaiden II missions

This week the big news for Xbox 360 (apart from the Ninja Gaiden II expansion, which reportedly nuked the game for some players) is that hard-core gamers will be dominating Xbox Live Arcade for the next few weeks with titles like Geometry Wars 2 (now available), puzzle platformer Braid (next week), Bionic Commando: Rearmed (August 13), Galaga Legions (August 20) and the long-awaited Castle Crashers (August 27). Word of warning: Castle Crashers is rumored to bust the $20 Arcade price ceiling previously smashed by Penny Arcade Adventures.

Can't wait to blow some Microsoft Points? Here's what's new right now:

  • Xbox Live Arcade: Geometry Wars 2 ($10) and Ticket to Ride Europe expansion ($7.50)
  • Ninja Gaiden II Mission Mode ($10) adds Karma Attack and Survival modes with leaderboards (and may or may not break your game)
  • Soul Calibur IV Customization Equipment 1 ($1.50) and Stage Music from the original Soul Calibur ($1 each or $15 for all 17 tracks)
  • Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath Map Pack ($5) with four new maps for Skirmish and online play
  • Rock Band tracks ($1) "Yomp" by thenewno2 and ($2 each) "This is It" by Staind, "They Say" by Scars on Broadway and "Electric Crown" by Testament
  • Demos: FaceBreaker and Madden NFL 09
  • Game Videos: Dead Space, FaceBreaker, Geometry Wars 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Ninja Gaiden II and Prizefighter
  • Themes: FaceBreaker and The Last Remnant ($1.88 eacb), Soul Calibur IV ($2.25) and Tropic Thunder (free)
