I like that Rock Band hat better
Ironically, i have the Guitar Hero hat, but like the rock band one and the rock band game better.
I must say, the Guitar Hero hat looks more comfortable. The rockband one looks like it's made out of foam or something. So I'll go for The Guitar Hero hat.
And for this weeks post... Why don't we post our fears? Let's figure out a little bit more about these posters! Get some conversation going. Personally one of my biggest fears is becoming lost pretty much anywhere. Not in a building, but a large city or wilderness. In a city it'd be more like a kind of panic, and in a forest it'd probably be despair.
And for that bonus pretzel what is one of your irrational fears? I am absolutely terrified of bats. They get into my house and I just lose it. I'd rather let the bat have the room it's stuck in than deal with it. God they're creepy little... Flying rats.

The Rockband hat looks cool but the Guitar Hero hat looks noice!

I like the guitar hero hat because I like that series better. Not so much of a fan for Rock Band, but I'll still play it. But i also feel like both are slightly running out of steam. The new guitar hero was slightly more of a joke on part of the guitar than any of the previous games I could easily beat any song on hard :o
But I haven't tried the new rockband yet.
And about fears, I don't really have a lot of fears except for zombies and sharks and even worse...zombie sharks that can walk on land because no matter what you're in trouble. I don't know if that day will ever come but because of that I'm preparin for the zombie outbreak. Time to practice with some more resident evil lol.

Rock Band is so much better than Guitar Hero so I would rather have the RB hat.
As for the fear thing, I'm going to agree with the zombie guy so I have an excuse to play Left 4 Dead all night.
I like the Guitar Hero....mainly because I don't own Rock Band.

I like the Guitar Hero hat and that's the one I'm playing for. That being said, I like both games. I love playing Rock Band with a full group and enjoy that feeling of rocking out with my peeps. :) The solo player in me, for what ever reason, prefers Guitar Hero. So that's how they break down with me.

Though I think Guitar Hero has gone downhill following its first two titles, I'd still like to play for the Guitar Hero hat.
As for fears, I have a remarkable aversion whenever I see needles - even seeing someone else being injected, giving blood, etc. is enough to make me uneasy.

I definitely want the Guitar Hero hat. Guitar is much better than Rock Band because it is a lot more challenging on Expert, the song list includes a lot more hard rock and heavy metal songs, you can make your own songs in World Tour, and now that Guitar Hero has the option to make your own characters and instruments, the only thing that Rock Band has a leg up on is the amount of downloadable content. But weigh that against all everything that Guitar Hero offers, GH is the clear winner.

I like RB the game better as well...I got it because it combined the guitar which I liked, and the singing which my wife likes (I don't like buying singing-only games because I can't sing, and she doesn't play much). And I thought this would help my boy get interested in drums and improve his rhythm.
Loved RB1, RB2 is even better.
I did try GH:WT, maybe I'm just spoiled by RB/RB2 but I just didn't like it as much. The in-game graphics/avatars are much prettier, and there are some songs I wish RB had, but overall, I like the RB experience better.
Fears? I had a nightmare of my boy falling out of the window, that was incredibly awful. So my worst real fear of something happening to him.
Worst irrational fear...snakes. I know lots of people don't like them, but I despise them. One was in the road and I drove over it (not killing it, just under my car) and I found it hard to drive because I didn't want to put my feet on the floorboards.

Guitar Hero 3 was a damn fun game... then Guitar Hero 4 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith bastardized it completely. (Own all of em, played Aerosmith once. For maybe five minutes)
Picked up Rock Band 2 for the wii and I love it. Nothing like singing Painkiller. Nothing.

It all started with guitar hero two, and my progression into the faux instrument peripheral playing world and it was great which eventually lead to guitar hero 3 and ultimately rockband which was an amazing extension to the genre already.
With all discrepancies aside guitar hero 3 had the overall better setlist and guitar experience, but with the much more improved version RB2 later the next year, all bets we're off with the perfect band experience,bottomless list of songs and fan service requests; I was sold for rockband, and disappointed with activision's lesser approach with WT which lacked in a proper dlc demand and presentation, and I own both.
the guitar hero hat really does look and fit better, but i definitely like rock band way more.
I'd say Rock Band, the fact that the DLC songs work with every installment of the franchise sold me on the games.

Congrats. The next Free Stuff Friday is going to probably be a little late since I'll be standing in the cold tonight for Resident Evil 5 at midnight. It will be worth the wait and is sure to warm those still in frigid climates: Dead or Alive Xtreme 2!
