OK, so it's not universal Friend codes, but Nintendo took a first step toward Wii and Nintendo DS unification by providing a method for transferring your Mii to your DS. The maneuver requires the new "game" Personal Trainer: Walking for the DS to receive your Wii avatar (more games that support Miis are in the works). By now there, should be a new Connect to DS option on your Mii Channel. If you don't see it, try this code to unlock it: Press A, then B, then 1 and finally press and hold 2. It also appears that you can now (finally!) move excess Miis to the Parade screen but doing so will erase any related data so only store those Miis you aren't using for games...
Whoa! - Transfer your Miis to your DS

Mii games seem pretty interesting. I wonder if the 360 will do anything more with the Avatars. I don't know of any game yet that actually controls them in some sort of fashion.
