Free Stuff Friday - Zenses: Rainforest for DS

Zenses: Rainforest

After all of the excitement of the past few weeks - our awareness drive, the resulting Assassin's Creed II giveaway (which closes 5:01 p.m. Pacific TODAY - so go enter!), the unplanned site outage due to a massive service provider failure and our BioShock special Busy Gamer Podcast, we feel the need to bring things down a notch. And what better way than with a game that promises "puzzles to unwind the mind."

Zenses: Rainforest is a collection of soothing casual games. You know it's soothing because there's a waterfall! It also can be played at harder skill levels, if relaxing isn't your thing. Did we mention that the copy we're giving away is still sealed? (Makes a great gift!)

There are six games in all:

  • Treasure Spin: This is actually a lot like that Lazy Raiders game that came out just this week on Xbox Live Arcade, only more soothing. Rotate the box to bring the pieces together.
  • Stack Jack: My personal favorite! You drag falling concentric circles and nest them. It amuses me that one of the configurations looks just like the Target logo!
  • Twist 'N' Turn: Swap gems or rotate them on wheels to match a given layout.
  • Flower Board: Clear flowers by matching patterns.
  • Sapphire Wheel: This is a nice twist on those gem pattern games, only you rotate the board instead of the gems to make them fit into the matching spaces.
  • Solitaire: Actually, more like Checkers meets Leapfrog. Take all of the stones by jumping them and be sure to end on a target pad within a set number of moves.

But don't relax too much. We are long overdue for some instant win giveaways, and this week could be the one! (We really have been busy...)

To enter (and show how much you love free stuff!):

Simply post a comment on this page. Say whatever is on your mind as long as it's not an ad or profane. Be sure to read the Sweepstakes Rules to ensure you are eligible to win and don't get disqualified by double-posting or forgetting to provide an e-mail address.

You may also want to white list this domain; we've had several would-be winners lose out because they never responded to their prize notification! If you use TypeKey/TypePad, be sure your e-mail address will be shared. No e-mail address, no prize. (Don't worry, no one else will see it - and we'll only use it to contact you if you win.)

Note that unless you're an authenticated poster who has been active on the site and marked as trusted, your comment will NOT appear immediately. It will go into a queue for me to approve, which I'll do several times a day (except the first weekend, where comments may not be approved until sometime late on Sunday). Do NOT double-post. We'll extend the entry period for this until 5:01 p.m. Pacific Time on Thursday, March 4 to ensure you have plenty of time to enter and verify your entry was posted.

We also sometimes give away unannounced Instant Win prizes (and we're so overdue to have some more of these!). Here are a few tips since this can happen at any time. Check our Busy Gamer Podcast on Sundays for possible hints about what's coming (soon)! 1) Follow Gamewatcher on Twitter. Before we post the next Free Stuff Bonus - Instant Win, we'll give you a fair warning tweet. 2) Subscribe to our RSS feed and set it to check for updates frequently.

We continue to stock up on cool goodies for Free Stuff Friday - and we will keep doing so as long as there's enough response, even if we continue to lose money on this site. So tell your friends about this! Hey, if we get bigger, so will the prizes that YOU could win!

While you're at it, post comments wherever you see something interesting. Also, if you get a game code you don't need or have some other cool game-related prize you want to donate, we'd be very grateful (we pay for most of this stuff ourselves!).
