With permission from Microsoft, MekTek has released PC game MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries for free. After clearing up some launch snafus, including patches that remove a mandatory server check that caused installs to fail during peak download times (among other things), the game seems to be in good shape now. So whether you're a fan who wants to revisit the glory days or someone who never got around to playing the MechWarrior series, now's your chance. Get it from mektek.net...
I guess I am in for downloading it - I used to have the first one, as it shipped with the MS forcefeedback stick - was a great joystick for the time (*sigh* happy memories)
