If you listened to our PAX Prime podcast coverage, you know that we simply loved the quirky racing platformer Raskulls developed by Halfbrick Studios for Xbox Live Arcade. We dubbed it our surprise find of the show, and were thrilled to learn that we would not have to wait until next week to get it. Though we did suffer a few setbacks on our quest to download.
Originally, the full game and trial were both set to -1 Microsoft Points, which makes them unbuyable. This has been resolved, so now you just need to know how to get them from within one of the two other games in the same holiday promotion:
Raskulls is downloadable if you have a full version of ilomilo, released using a viral marketing Web code campaign last month. They are out of codes, but if you've downloaded the trial version you can use it to buy the full game early. Or you can buy A World of Keflings, which was just released today.
The trial versions won't work (we tested this) so you will have buy one of the games for $10 for the privilege of buying Raskulls a week early (also for $10).
If you have ilomilo, just go to the main menu and press Y (pictured at left).
If you buy A World of Keflings, start a new game and go to the Blueprints section (press the right bumper button) and select the Raskulls blueprint for a prompt to buy it or download the trial (pictured above)...
