When Portal 2 was released, Valve announced that a soundtrack album would be "coming soon." What we didn't expect was that it would be entirely FREE.
That's right, Valve has released the first of three volumes of "Songs to Test By," a collection of music from Portal 2.
The first set includes 22 instrumentals from the game, all neatly zipped and ready for import into your digital music player of choice.
Tracks include the almost sweet "Turret Wife Serenade," pulsating "I Saw a Deer Today" and trailer-iffic "Science is Fun." We already have these in rotation and can't wait 'til Volume 2!

I always wondered what a collaboration between Aphex Twin and Wendy Carlos would sound like. Now I know. Even though I haven't played Portal 2 yet, I would have gladly paid for this soundtrack.
