This cautionary Kickstarter tale grew out of a seed planted by community member InvaderSil, who mentioned that he had backed the Code Hero project but had been disappointed by the lack of updates. At PAX last fall, we sought out and met with a very upbeat member of the Code Hero team, who shared what seemed to be a very exciting roadmap for the project.
We nearly ran home and plunked down the $13.37 required to "buy" the game and receive the forthcoming alpha build. It's a good thing we didn't and - for that matter - that we didn't share this somewhat intoxicating interview earlier. Many more busy gamers might have had their hearts stomped when the site, servers, and downloadable pre-release game vanished recently.
What's fascinating is how much, listening to this again, we want it to be real. And it's said to know that it's all talk, regardless of the developers' intent. (That's for you to decide.)

There are still a couple more podcasts from PAX Prime 2012 on the way:
- Dead Island: Riptide
- My Giants
And we're starting production on audio tributes to the music of BioShock Infinite and the wonder that is the Halo-themed I Love Bees. So stay tuned!
