Generally, I like Rockstar games but never really finish them. GTA IV is the one I've played most - I got a little lost in that world with its modern sparkle and hypnotic Russian pop radio. I never got into the pony-trotting simulator that was Red Dead Redemption. And after my first run here, Red Dead Redemption 2 seems even less appealing.
The game really leans into cinematics, even when you're (somewhat) in control. And it doesn't always guide you clearly to the next milestone, as you'll see towards the end when I get stuck and then accidentally skip a cutscene thinking it's a popup for a loot item:
