To celebrate my finally completing the last released game in this series, I'm paying it forward by giving away the title that started my addiction, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. If you're not familiar with these games, they are basically interactive soap operas with a quirky cast of characters, clues to find and collect, and statements to press and contradict with evidence. Incorrect choices penalize you, forcing you to redo short segments of the game if you make too many errors in judgment. The cases require some lateral thinking and creative guesswork.
The last case (which I just completed moments ago!) is quite impressive in how it ties together characters, storylines and motives from all three games, though you'll want to start with the first one to fully appeciate it.

This seems really awesome. I have a friend that got it because he has always seen himself as a bit of an expert on the law. Never found out if he liked it from that angle. Well, here's hoping i win. :-)
Even though the series was starting to wear on my after the third Phoenix Wright game I still had an itch that only Apollo Justice scratched.
Of course these games have no replay value.

Ah, memories of the game from years ago...case 5 was good and supposedly laid the foundation for a later game, but case 4 was fantastic.

let me tell of my dream. i was at a party and i went into my bathroom and there was sloth hanging from the ceiling dressed in a butler's outfit. then he spoke to me saying "a towel for you?" i said "yes!" he spoke in a british accent. he was very cute and smiling at me. and gave me a towel with my initial. love.

I've been meaning to get into Phoenix Wright ever since I pilfered my sister's old DS (she has a DS Lite that has kept from even noticing that it's missing).
Another reason to get the DSi on launch tomorrow. I am going to start catching up on all the great games I've missed.

It's strange but I ended up getting PW: Justice for All as my first introduction into the series. Granted, I thought it was fantastic, the cases were surprisingly twisted and amusing. Hopefully, I'll be able to check out some of the references to the first game that they had.
