As a fan of the 2600 games from my childhood, I've collected compilations such as Atari 50 and Tetris Forever and many others over the years. Retro Classics, an exclusive Xbox Game Pass collection that promises to expand, is like that - only with challenges (much like the old retired Rewards challenges) and the ability to save anywhere.
The library itself is vast with a mix of low to medium resolution action games and even text adventures such as Zork. I played some Pitfall, Pitfall 2, H.E.R.O. (one my all-time faves though I kept confusing the dynamite and the laser), Chopper Command (a solid Defender clone), Trick Shot, the start of Zork Zero, Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood, some MechWarrior 2 tutorial, and a few more.I also spend some time perusing the full catalog, so take a look:
