I enjoyed Deep Rock Galactic up to a point, even playing a multiplayer round with my son, Xandillionaire Grindset. He's been raving about Deep Rock Galactic Survivor ever since it appeared on Steam early access.
It's basically a top-down autoshooter where strategy means moving in the right direction at the right moment, not missing crucial powerups and upgrade opportunities, and not dying (as I did on Round 2 and then again at the end). That said, even if I kinda suck at it, it's fun and an engaging diversion even if you're an old-school gamer who remembers when Pitfall was considered state-of-the-art graphics.
